It’s commonly known among gamers that gaming platforms hold free multiplayer events. In fact, most avid game players take advantage of these free periods. While most of the events are only a weekend long, PS4 gamers will now get to enjoy a whole week of free multiplayer gaming. A free multiplayer week doesn’t require a PlayStation Plus pass and makes any game’s online multiplayer mode free. In North America, the event began on February 17th and runs until February 23rd. Europe also receives a free period from February 22nd to February 26th. Europe’s free time isn’t as long as North America’s is, however, it’s still a decent amount of time in which players can test out multiplayer versions of their favorite games without subscribing to PlayStation Plus.
Taking advantage of the multiplayer week is easy- all you need to do is put in your favorite game and go to the multiplayer option. You don’t have to worry about weeding out the right games to play as any game with multiplayer capability is included in the event. This means that popular games like Overwatch and Call of Duty are free to play with your friends for a whole week. The event is also risk-free. There are no chances of wasting your money, as you don’t have to spend any to try multiplayer out in the first place. This being said, if you don’t like the multiplayer version of Call of Duty, you can simply stop playing it and not have to worry about having wasted money to play online.
Although the free event allows players to play multiplayer games for free, it doesn’t give them any other PlayStation Plus benefits.
So, gamers, what are you waiting for? Fire up that game system, gather a few friends, and grab a snack because it’s going to be an intense week.
